Backtest Details

The backtesting of the earnings pattern is an essential part of the earnings analysis and shows you two charts.

The 'Summarised Profit' chart shows the performance of the earnings pattern that had traded.
The 'Profit and Loss' chart shows the trades.
The table below shows each trade in the backtest.

Statistics

The statistical chart shows you the average development of the different earnings releases. Evaluations help you to optimize the analysis period and improve the quality of the analysis.

With this information, you can see more details and, if necessary, apply filters to get better results and implement a better strategy or trade.

The earnings statistics show the key figures that indicate the quality of earnings from year to year and from quarter to quarter.

How often were earnings per share expectations beaten?
How often were sales expectations beaten?
Which quarter is weak or strong?
How did the share price develop on average directly after the earnings?

Filter Options

Filter options are essential for the success of your analyses. The quarter filter is the most important of all filters.
If you want to analyze how an upcoming earnings event for a stock has developed in the past, it is highly recommended that you only examine the current quarter.
For this reason, the quarter filter is also placed directly above the chart to make the interface easy to use.
